Astrology for the Week of January 30 - February 5

Before we get started, I want you to know that all times I’m going to mention are in the Eastern time zone. If you’re like most of my clients you will have felt a huge shift in energy and focus over the past week as all of the planets began to move direct. That trend continues this week and leads to a fireworks filled weekend featuring the Leo Full Moon. 

Monday 1/30

Monday is energetic and optimistic and a truly great day for doing anything that involves clarity of thought, problem solving, and communication. Monday evening, however, could be a little more contentious so make an effort to respond rather than react.

Tuesday is a forward momentum kind of day. Schedule the meetings, write the words, do the things.

Wednesday the Moon is void from 6:58 am to  3:11 pm eastern. This is a fantastic period to do things that don’t require anyone else, deep work on a project you’ve already begun, or to schedule time to take care of yourself. 

Once the Moon hits Cancer it’ll be easier to tap into your emotional authenticity.

Friday is a little bit like lemonade with a whiskey chaser. Don’t blame me for the imagery, that’s what it showed up as in my head. 

Think about lemonade for just a minute. It’s a drink made from an ohmygosh sour fruit that has to have enough sugar added to kill a fruit fly before people will drink it but once the ratio is right it’s refreshing and delicious. That’s the first half of the day.

Now let’s think about whiskey, it burns going down but in a delightful liquid fire kind of way that also feels like being in the woods at night in front of a campfire telling ghost stories. It’s going to be interesting for sure with an added dash of exciting or chaotic depending on how much you drink (or the way your chart is configured). That’s the second half of the day.

For what it’s worth, this is always how my brain works and if you are working with me you’ll probably notice me stop and stare off for a minute at some point. People usually tell me to just say whatever it is and that I don’t have to edit but I’m just trying to make the pictures into words. Trust me, I’m not trying to break it to you easily ;)

Saturday 2/4:

Saturday is intense and probably dramatic as we move closer to the Full Moon. 

Friendly reminder that intense and dramatic are not objectively bad. A marriage proposal where the person receiving the proposal accepts is both of those things and subjectively fantastic. That could absolutely be the vibe.

It could also be the scame scenario in a crowded restaurant where the answer is a no, there’s a huge scene, and the couple breaks up. It depends entirely upon the configuration of your chart.

In general I’d expect tonight to be more passionate embrace than full blown chaotic nightmare.

On Sunday we have the Leo Full Moon that is heavily tied into the themes you’ve been reviewing in your Taurus and Aquarius houses but the focal point will be around topics related to your Leo house. 

This Leo Full Moon is an invitation to be extra. How can you show up bigger and bolder in one area of your life and how are you letting the fear of being seen in all of your feline awesomeness hold you back? 

Where the Full Moon is located in your chart is an area where you can more easily create change and are likely to have an increased focus for the few days leading up to the exact moment of the Full Moon - which this time is at 1:28 pm eastern. 

This is the same area that you probably need to let go of something over the next two weeks. This could be a story, relationship, habit, or way of being that is holding you back from stepping into the next version of yourself.

By rising sign, look for a culmination followed by a letting go over the next two weeks so that you can move forward related to:

• Aries Rising: Children, pleasure, romance, dating, sexuality, the things you desire,  the creative arts, love affairs, the ways in which you are entertained, close friends, and lovers
• Taurus Rising: Home, family, home life, land, ancestors, private self, your emotional foundation, gains from hidden sources, your father, and your father’s family
• Gemini Rising: Communication,, divination, short-distance travel, your neighborhood, writing, your immediate environment, the divine feminine, siblings, and cousins
• Cancer Rising: Money, possessions, resources, and how you make a living
• Leo Rising: Self-awareness, your identity, appearance, personality, the way you view yourself, your character, your primary motivation, your body, your health, and vitality
• Virgo Rising: Mental health, the subconscious, ways you self sabotage, the ways you isolate yourself, hidden enemies, transcendence, and spiritual liberation
• Libra Rising: Friends with influence, alliances, your hopes and dreams, social media, personal and professional networks, unions, mentors, and that which supports you
• Scorpio Rising: Your reputation, profession, actions, relationship with and to authority, your mother and her family, your destiny, and your ambitions
