Astrology for the Week of October 31- November 6

This week is what I’d call the astrological eye of the hurricane.

Last week, the hurricane made landfall with the Scorpio New Moon Eclipse and there was a lot of intensity for those with Scorpio placements. 

If you’ve never stood outside in the eye of a hurricane after enduring hours of brutal winds, you may not fully understand this example but I’ll try to paint a picture. It’s a deceptive and eerie peace that makes you think for a moment you’re through the storm and you can start taking action to clean up the debris. But if you’re paying attention, you’ll notice the birds aren’t singing and nothing feels quite right. So, while it’s a nice break from the intensity of the storm, the chaos isn’t over yet. 

My advice for this week is to look for ways to reinforce your mental and emotional defences, recover from any eclipse shenanigans from last week, and continue to be gentle with yourself.

Even if you have no Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, or Aquarius placements (planets or rising) - there are people in your life that do - and those people could be bringing the eclipse energy into your life. There are also entire communities and countries that are going to feel these eclipses more significantly because places have birth charts too. 

If you feel like you’re sailing along in untroubled waters, congratulations and maybe consider donating time, snuggles, or cookies to those who got hit hard by the eclips-icane.

Next week the winds will kick up again as we face the other side of the hurricane.

Monday morning is very nose to the grindstone but in an optimistic kind of way. The afternoon is more challenging and you may find yourself (or others) wanting to talk about eclipse things that came up last week or that are starting to become more clear now.

Tuesday 11/1:

Tuesday is more tense than the rest of the week as the Moon makes a hard aspect to the eclipse points. This could look like new information coming to light related to your Scorpio or Taurus houses or a better understanding of information you already had. 

Just remember tension isn’t inherently bad.  There’s tension associated with subjectively negative things like leaving a job you’ve had for years but whatever is coming next could be even better. There’s also tension associated with achieving something you deeply want as you work towards the release of completion. It could go either way ;)

Wednesday 11/2:

Wednesday begins with mental clarity and a drive to accomplish something but with a long void moon happening for most of the morning, try to focus on something you’ve already begun. 

After the Moon moves into Pisces at 2:46 pm eastern, it’s a great time to have open-hearted conversations or find creative inspiration. This is probably my favorite day of the week for a lovely night out.

Thursday is nebulous. I’m torn between describing it as dreamy and delightful or delusional and drunk. It could honestly go either way depending on your chart configuration and how much inner work you’re doing.

Early Friday, your dreams (or delusions) could conflict with those of someone else and cause a bit of conflict but the end of the day is optimistic and uplifting. 

This is a great way to end the week on a note of productivity. Wrap up any work or personal projects you can - or at least make a decent dent in them.

Saturday 11/5:

Saturday could bring something unexpected into your life related to the eclipse themes I went over last week. This could have to do with women, love, beauty, money, or other Venusian topics as they relate to your Scorpio and Taurus houses. 

Pay attention to what’s happening, what’s being offered, and what you’re drawing into your life and explore with open curiosity.

Sunday is nice and I’d even venture to say productive. Use this to get ahead of anything you want to accomplish next week. Prep meals, pay bills, do some grocery shopping so you don’t have to stop after work, or whatever it is you can do to set the future version of yourself up for more ease.

Why?

Because the Moon goes into Taurus during the night and will start next week off with strengthening eclipse winds. The coming eclipse is more chaotic and subjectively challenging than the first. I’m not advocating fear, I am advocating preparedness.
