Astrology for the Week of October 10-16

This is a great week for taking action and getting a lot of work done. There are a LOT of big energy aspects happening and while I’m going to talk about them on the exact days they happen, keep in mind that energy is building in the days before an aspect is exact and begins dissipating in the days after. 

An aspect is rarely a single explosion like a lightning bolt. Usually, it’s more like a hurricane where the winds steadily increase as the eye makes landfall and then slowly decreases as it moves away. 

Monday 10/10:

Monday morning is an energetic start to the week but the BIG news is Mercury moving back into Libra! In one week, he will be out of the retrograde shadow (the area he was in before the retrograde period) and we will be in a completely clear communication zone.

Tuesday 10/11:

Normally, I try to make the daily forecast as succinct as possible but there is a bit to unwind for Tuesday. In all honesty, the energy I’m about to describe will be pretty strong the entire first half of the week so keep it in mind.

The two transits that are going to be pulling at people are the Sun in Libra trine Saturn in Aquarius and Mars in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces.

The Libra/Aquarius aspect will be facilitating a nose-to-the-grindstone kind of vibe in those houses - but in a pleasant and rewarding kind of way.

The Gemini/Pisces aspect could make you feel more like escaping.

Which one will be most dominant for you depends entirely on your birth chart and things related to your Time Lord for the year.

Even if you have no idea what areas of life are ruled by Libra & Aquarius or Gemini & Pisces - you should be aware that people will either want to be working their little tushy off or looking for a way to escape their reality and that could cause a lot of tension for people on opposite sides of the fence.

It’s even possible that you’ll feel both energies equally - in different areas. You might want to do the work on your romantic relationship but have a strong desire to escape from social media or social group dynamics. 

So, no matter which one happens to be true for you today (or the first half of the week) just remember other people’s experiences will be different and try to be compassionate for those who will be experiencing the need to escape (even if that person is you).

Wednesday there is a continuation of the energy mentioned previously in the week but in general, it is a productive day.

At 3:23 am eastern, Mercury in Libra will be opposite Jupiter in Aries. This is the third pass of this transit and you may finally be ready to share some big news that’s been building since the first week of September.

Thursday is a delightful chatty day filled with optimism and communication. It’s great for business meetings, webinars, working well with others, or creating something beautiful and functional that will take time and dedication.

Friday is focused, intellectually curious, and productive. Whatever you’ve been working on this week, there’s a lot of positive energy to wrap it up. 

The only caveat is that depending on your time zone, Friday night could lean more emo.

Saturday morning starts off slow because of the void of course Moon but around noon eastern, the Moon eases into its home sign of Cancer. This is an optimistic, warm, fuzzy, apple cider and bread baking or pumpkin patch strolling kind of day.

The warm cozy vibes are strong Sunday. What can you do today that will make you feel nurtured and cared for all week - maybe even for the rest of the month?

Seriously, I want you to think about what that is for you and do the prep work today (or this weekend). Put self-care things in your calendar for the rest of this month and November, make yourself cookies, or whatever it is that makes you feel loved, cozy, and cared for. Eclipses are coming and now is a great time to prepare.
