Astrology for the Week of August 15-21

You know how some weeks it’s all big changes are coming and it might be challenging? This is not one of those weeks. This is a pretty great week with a lot going for it. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to a little energetic break.

Wednesday is pretty fantastic for celebrating something but it’s also a really great time to get clear on what your heart most desires. Saturday, Mars moves into Gemini. The essential nature of Mars is to energize. This can manifest itself in a variety of ways, including competitiveness, confidence, rashness, spontaneity, passion, anger, excitability, or impatience. 

Mars indicates our capacity to take action based on our personal desires. To a large degree, the way you do this is explained in your natal chart. However, the way it is expressed is modified by where Mars is as it moves through the zodiac throughout your chart.

The house where you find Gemini is where you are eager to communicate and learn from others. 

Some of the things we will be learning and communicating over the next seven months are how we take action and the ways we deal with our desire. We’ll also be learning a LOT about our Gemini houses.

The house Mars is moving into is the area of life where you will be more willing to initiate action, channel your desire, fight for what you want, or become more competitive. Mars can be expressed as directness, accomplishment, gratification, courage, passion, sexuality, a pioneering spirit, and drive, or aggression, unchecked emotion, anger, conquest, fury, impatience, violence, and war.

The period between now and mid-October is training wheels for the Mars retrograde. Become friendly with Mars now so you can use that period more productively.
