[Fate & Free Will ] Astrology for the Week of September 2-8
Sep 02, 2024This week has a lot of brand new energy. We start the week off with a New Moon followed by Mars moving into Cancer a few days later. Then we wrap it up with some new insight or information towards the end of the week.
Monday 09/02
- Virgo π New Moon | 9:55 pm eastern
- β½ β β at 11° 04‘ Virgo
Monday the big news is the Virgo New Moon which happens at 9:55 pm eastern. That means that most of the day we are still in the letting go part of the lunar phase. Spend some time today thinking about what you’d like to release as you prepare for your Virgo New Moon beginning.
Speaking of that new beginning. The Virgo New Moon emphasizes a reset that focuses on accuracy, thorough planning, and setting specific goals.
This period blends careful attention to detail with bold expression, allowing for a clear and assertive presentation of your ideas thanks to Mercury in Leo being in mutual reception with the Sun.
However, Mercury’s slower pace may make progress feel gradual, and the tension between Mars and Neptune in the background can bring distractions or confusion that cloud judgment.
Remember, small adjustments and careful planning can create a solid foundation for lasting changes, regardless of where this energy plays out.
Tuesday 09/03
- βοΈ at 28° 59‘ Gemini β‘ β at 28° 59‘ Pisces | 12:09 am eastern
- β½ at 16° 23‘ Virgo β β at 16° 23‘ Pisces | 8:37 am eastern
- β½ at 19° 20‘ Virgo β‘ β at 19° 20‘ Gemini | 2:34 pm eastern
Tuesday might feel a bit like a New Moon hangover. Things might feel a bit scattered and unclear, with a strong sense of misdirection or uncertainty influencing actions and decisions.
Frustration may pop up from feeling pulled in different directions, and efforts can easily get tangled in mixed messages or unrealistic expectations.
After about noon eastern, the mood begins to lift, bringing a more optimistic and lighthearted energy that encourages curiosity and open-mindedness, making it easier to find a silver lining or explore new ideas.
Wednesday 09/04
- β½ at 27° 15‘ Virgo β³ β at 27° 15‘ Taurus | 6:36 am eastern
- β½ at 28° 57‘ Virgo β β at 28° 57‘ Pisces | 10:05 eastern
- β½ at 29° 54‘ Virgo β‘ βοΈ at 29° 54‘ Gemini | 12:00 pm eastern
- β½ at 29° 57‘ Virgo β³ β at 29° 57‘ Capricorn | 12:06 pm eastern
- β½ V/C | 12:06 - 12:11 pm eastern
- β½ β» Libra | 12:11 pm eastern
- βοΈ β» Cancer | 3:46 pm eastern
Wednesday has part one and part two. The first part of the day is the remnants of the Virgo New Moon which is productive(ish) and pretty good for pushing through challenges (of course that does mean there might be challenges).
When the Moon moves into Libra at 12:11 pm eastern we get the second part of the day. The Moon begins to grow and those New Moon plans might start getting some traction but the biggest shift happens when Mars moves into Cancer at 3:46 pm eastern.
Brace yourself because Mars will be in Cancer off and on from now until April 17th. He won’t be there the whole time and for all of September he is out of his shadow (that just means he won’t be moving back to the September area of the sky during the retrograde) BUT - you’re going to be spending a whole lot of energy in this area of your life for the next 2 months and then again from January 6 to April 17.
I’ll be talking about this alot in The Crusade and in later forecasts as we hit the shadow period next month - but for now let’s focus on what Mars in Cancer is like.
Mars in Cancer highlights a period where actions may feel hesitant, driven more by fluctuating emotions than by direct ambition. While this can inspire a more protective and cautious approach, allowing for thoughtful adjustments and reflective actions, it may also lead to a sense of frustration or difficulty asserting oneself.
There is the possibility of reactive or inconsistent energy which could make it easier to feel overwhelmed or sidetracked by emotional fluctuations.
Additionally, people (including you!) may have a tendency to act defensively or avoid direct confrontation, which can lead to stalled efforts or actions that feel misaligned with intentions.
Thursday 09/05
- β½ β βοΈ at 08° 21‘ Libra | 5:12 am eastern
Thursday is nice. Like really really nice. A little island of niceness after a slightly more tumultuous start to the week.
Go forth and frolic or get a lot of things done. Totally up to you.
Friday 09/06
- β½ at 19° 36‘ Libra β³ β at 19° 36‘ Gemini | 4:08 am eastern
- β½ at 26° 59‘ Libra β³ βΏ at 26° 59‘ Leo | 7:10 pm eastern
Friday is also productive and nice. It’s a great way to wrap up the week, take action on your New Moon goals, go out and enjoy time with friends, or have delightful conversations.
However, beneath this smooth flow, unexpected disruptions or abrupt changes in plans could stir tension, interrupting the otherwise smooth flow of the day.
Saturday 09/07
- βΏ at 27° 14‘ Leo β‘ β at 27° 14‘ Taurus | 12:20 am eastern
- β½ at 29° 55‘ Libra β‘ β at 29° 55‘ Capricorn | 1:08 am eastern
- β½ V/C | 1:08 - 1:18 am eastern
- β½ β» Scorpio | 1:18 am eastern
- π Waxing Crescent | 1:29 am eastern
- β½ at 01° 31‘ Scorpio β³ βοΈ at 01° 31‘ Cancer | 4:23 am eastern
Saturday brings a mix of determined energy and a sense of pressure, where productive actions may feel weighed down by heavier responsibilities or limitations.
There’s a strong drive to push through obstacles, but there might be some tension. The struggle between wanting to move forward and feeling held back by circumstances is real.
Every step forward might feel like a test of both willpower and endurance - but the effort will be worth it.
Sunday 09/08
- β at 16° 01‘ Virgo β β at 16° 01‘ Pisces | 12:35 am eastern
- β½ at 15° 59‘ Scorpio β³ β at 15° 59‘ Pisces | 9:37 am eastern
- β½ at 16° 25‘ Scorpio β³ β at 16° 25‘ Virgo | 10:28 am eastern
Sunday may feel a bit heavy, as responsibilities and expectations clash with a desire to keep things moving. There’s a sense of tension between what needs to be done and the energy to do it, but steady support in the background helps maintain focus.
While there might be moments of frustration, there’s also an opportunity to tackle tasks with determination.
Until next time, my wish for you is the impulse of curiosity when facing challenges. -Robinπ
