Astrology for the Week of July 25-31

The next two weeks are going to be extra in such a Leo (plus Taurus) way. That means big and showy, warm and fuzzy, loving and courageous, but also stubborn and self-centered. I’m not saying it’s great or awful because the truth is, it’s probably going to be both ends of the spectrum but it will for sure be noticeable in your personal life and as it plays out in world events and the lives of friends and family.

Monday morning carries with it a bit of the expansive and chatty do all the things vibe of the weekend…for everyone. If you can channel that into work or creativity, great! But some people may prefer summer vacay mode (which can also be great).

One little caveat, Monday morning isn’t the best time to start something new. Not only is the Moon at its darkest but it is also void until about 2:00 pm eastern. It’s great for deep work on an existing task or chatting with coworkers about your plans or weekend developments.

Tuesday presents the opportunity to really think about what you want for the upcoming Leo New Moon and what action you need to take to help you achieve it. This is also one of those days where you should think *carefully* before you speak.

When Mercury and Mars get together, it can be really great for taking decisive action or directly speaking your mind. But that can also be…problematic. Especially since Mercury in Leo for sure thinks he’s right and Mars in Taurus wants to stubbornly push through regardless of the obstacles. Sooo that’s great if you need insightful ways to work through a problem but it can also lead to people digging in their heels and being all “my way or the highway.”

Wednesday has a dreamy, creative vibe most of the day. Paint, write, inspire, or daydream and escape. The evening is more emotionally challenging but it is a great time for getting to the bottom of emotional issues.

Thursday is crazypants busy. I’m going to break it down by transit but there is an anticipatory somewhat frenetic energy to the day. You may have a lot of important insights, so be ready to write down all of the things. Everyone will be feeling extra so stay flexible and try to adapt to changes with grace.

The Leo New Moon is optimistic and action-oriented but the next two weeks are going to be *intense*. You will likely feel pulled to create and express authentically in a way that might invite criticism or judgement from others. In true Leo fashion, however, why in the name of all that is holy in the world would you let the opinions of others slow you down. 

Yes, the next two weeks will be intense and have a ridiculous number of unexpected plot turns but that’s what makes a good movie. Do you and keep moving forward.

Jupiter stations retrograde at 4:37 pm in Aries but honestly, you’ll be able to feel the expansive energy highlighting the Aries area of your chart all week. It’ll be retrograde until November 23 when it’ll station direct in Pisces. Don’t worry, it won’t be hijinks and shenanigans the entire time it is dancing backwards - unlike Mercury. 

As Jupiter moves backwards in Aries, you’ll be revising your vision and reflecting on the growth you’ve had in this area of life. Think of it as an opportunity to do inner work in this area so that when Jupiter moves back into Aries on December 20 you are fully ready to go big in this sector. 

Friday 7/29:

The Moon is void most of Saturday which just means don’t try to start new things before it moves into Virgo at 2:10 pm eastern. It’s fine to finish up existing things or go out with people you know but it’s not great for a first date or launching a new project. Once that Moon hits Virgo, however, you’re good to go.

Sunday, the optimism volume is turned all the way up. If you’re loving the energy right now, it’s a good day to set some of your Leo New Moon plans into motion. However, the conjunction between Mars, Uranus, and the North Node in Taurus is building and today and the first part of next week could bring some intense changes - who knows, maybe you’re the change.
