Astrology for the Week of June 20 - 26

This is a really lovely week with a lot of big shifts and positive forward momentum.

Monday isn’t your stereotypical Monday. It’s not really a nose-to-the-grindstone kind of day, it’s far more flowing, dreamy, intuitive, and spiritual. Or delusional and emo depending on how you deal with Pisces and Neptune. 

I don’t have a great relationship with Pisces (in my chart, Pisces placement people are absolutely delightful) so I’m going to actively lean into the intuitive and spiritual side of things which may mean less traditionally defined productivity but more productive emotional growth.

Tuesday morning the Sun moves into Cancer. Happy Solstice!

The house where you find Cancer is the area of your life where you likely have a more pronounced need to give and receive emotional support. You have the potential to show up as sensitive, nurturing, receptive, gentle, and protective or insecure, defensive, withdrawn, fearful, and afraid to let go.

Wherever the Sun is in your chart is a significant indicator of where much of your conscious energy is focused and it’s the easiest one to identify without the help of an astrologer as long as you know your rising sign. (Other things to look at include your profected house for the year and where your Time Lord is hanging out).

By rising sign, the area of life you’ll be putting more of a focus on thanks to the Sun are:

Wednesday be aware of the potential for explosive emotional volatility. Think before you speak or act and remember to respond instead of reacting to those who are volatile in your general direction.

Wednesday night Venus moves out of her home sign of Taurus and into Gemini. While it’s true she is more comfortable in Taurus, she’s not unhappy in Gemini. She glides effortlessly from one fascinating topic to the next and helps magnetize the Gemini section of your chart. 

The house where you find Gemini is the area of your life where you likely have a more pronounced need to communicate with and learn from others. You have the potential to show up as curious, rational, communicative, lighthearted and adaptable or unemotional, scattered, impatient, noncommittal, and overly abstract or with excessive intellectualizing.

While I’m on the topic of Gemini, pay close attention to this area (including thinking about what has happened here over the past month while the Sun was hanging out). This is where Mars will be spending about 6 months. He’ll be here from August 20 to March 25 and between October 30 - January 12 he’ll be retrograde.  We’ll talk more about it in August but pay attention to how this area of life has been working for you for the end of June and try to determine what it is you *really* want here because there will be an opportunity to make significant changes in this area later in the year.

Thursday morning the Moon moves into Taurus and out of the fire of Aries which should help everyone dial down the emotional intensity a bit. The next couple of days are great for pragmatic action and/or eating some delicious comfort food.

Friday the grounded productivity could include some sort of Uranian surprise. 

I like to think of Uranus as lightning in a bottle, or as the personification of the god Prometheus who gave humans fire. That gift of fire is a good way to think about aspects involving Uranus. It’s unexpected and powerful and it can be used to cook a steak or burn down a city.
