Astrology for the Week of February 14 - 20

I’m going to tell you something that shocks most people when they figure it out, I love Valentine’s Day. I ❤️ LOVE. I love the pink and red, the flowers, the chocolate, the love songs, the rom-com movies, the intentional celebration of what I consider one of the main perks of being alive. I love the idea of it and I even love the commercialization of it because it means I get more of it in all of the stores. 

Now, before you get all cynical and think I only love it because I’m in love and I have someone to celebrate with, I want to stop you. I haven’t had anyone to celebrate with since Obama was president. I’ll wait while you do that math ;)

In fact, being single for such a long time has made me love Valentine’s Day even more and I’ve become more creative in finding ways to love myself and show those who matter to me how much I love them. Every year I get a little better at it and a little more intentional with it and I fall more in love with love. With the potential and possibility of love. 

I become more certain that staying in that feeling of love and wonder, passion and purpose, personal growth, and unconditional support of those you love is an intentional choice that must be made over and over again. Why in the world wouldn’t you want to celebrate that every year? 

If that leaves you feeling a little nauseated, I get it. I do. I still sometimes feel like it’s all a lie and there’s no point but these are the intentional thoughts I’ve cultivated over the past several years that have made me far happier than I was when I let my mind spin out of control and they’re the thoughts I come back to when I’m feeling lonely or disillusioned with the potential of love. 

No matter how you’re feeling this Valentine’s Day, I want you to know it’s one hundred percent ok to feel it and it’s ok to want to feel something different.

Back to this year. THIS year is extra magical and beautiful and cosmically supported romance is flying through the air and I’m allllllll about it. Monday:

Monday, the moon moves into Leo at 5:17 am giving this Valentine’s Day the potential to be a little over the top. For reals, if you love someone get your lion roar on and let them know. Especially after 3:53 pm when Mercury moves away from that Pluto conjunction and into Aquarius which should make words even easier. 

Now, I’m not saying stalk or text an ex from high school who’s remarried with kids that you think was ‘the one’ or be inappropriate with a coworker you’re crushing on. 

What I am saying is, why not tell the people you love that you love them and all of the delightful things about them that makes them impossible not to love. With zero expectations, obviously. 

While you’re at it, why not tell the person you’ve been with for your *entire* life how awesome they are and how in love with them you are and always will be. 

While I’m thinking about it, hi there. You. Yes, you, reading this. I adore you for our shared interest in astrology, the way you rock your placements even when it’s unintentional, and because you’re literally the only person on the planet who has ever existed as the unique expression of the universe that you are. How 🤯 and awesome is that?

Tuesday has the potential to feel a little more challenging or frustrating early. However, after the moon moves past its opposition to Saturn at 2:38 it is prime manifestation time. 

The day or so leading up to the Full Moon is always one of my favorite times for magic and magical intentions - and this one is soooooo delicious. If there’s something you want tonight’s the night to do the ritual, write the intention, set up a dedicated practice to manifest it.

It’s not an instant kind of thing, it’s prep work for the Pisces new moon and the two-week period after it next month. Personally, I think this is great for relationships, passion projects, and anything else that you want a little boost of Mars Venus action to help you accomplish. It’s also great for manifestation related to the Leo part of your chart.

Wednesday is the day where all of the planetary action is taking place. Mars has been chasing Venus and catches up to her today at 8:28 am right before the Leo Full Moon at 10:56 am.

First, let’s talk about Mars and Venus. They usually meet once a year and are ‘together’ (or conjunct) for about a week. Not this time. It’s two flipping months this time around. That’s a whole lot of time to work through whatever the Venus (and Mercury) retrograde brought up for you and to take action moving forward.

Yesterday, I told you to set some intentions and do some manifestation magic (if you’re so inclined). After 10:56 am we’re on the other side of that full moon and back to the traditional meaning which is culmination and release. 

Wherever Leo is in your chart, this lunation is highlighting something that needs to be released so you can move forward. 

Being so closely tied to the first Mars-Venus conjunction (the next one will be right after the next New Moon in Pisces) I’m expecting a LOT of people to have this triggering relationship issues. BUT that doesn’t mean your significant other, it could be any relationship - parents, employers, friends, groups, etc. And it doesn’t have to mean you’re leaving your husband, breaking up with your girlfriend, or quitting your job. It could just be an ending to a way of being within that dynamic that has to happen for a new way forward to emerge.

Wednesday is a great day to put yourself out there and take action on your dream. I particularly like Wednesday morning (before the full moon) for meetings, webinars, FB or IG lives, and starting new things. The afternoon is ideal for crossing off items on your to-do list.

The Sun in Pisces is extra magical and special this year. It’s always the moment when we leave two months of Saturn rulership behind which can feel heavy and restrictive and move into a month of expansion with Jupiter leading the way - and this year Jupiter is in Pisces for the ride.
