Astrology for the Week of June 5-11

That line was playing on repeat in my head as I wrote this week’s (extra long) forecast. This is the most intense week of the Venus in Leo period until next month when she stations retrograde plus there’s a whole lot of Pluto going on all week. 

This might be one of those weeks you want to just read one day at a time (or refer back to?)🫣

Monday is all about the Venus and Leo of it all. 

Venus is your fairy godmother planet who is associated with love, beauty, harmony, relationships, and money. She helps you define what you really want (and what you no longer want to put up with) in a specific area of life as she travels around the zodiac.

Leo is a fixed fire sign ruled by the Sun, and is associated with creativity, expressiveness, and an intense desire to be admired (or adored!). 

Venus will be in Leo for four months (June 5 - October 8) and it is likely to be a time of increased creativity, a desire for recognition, and a desire for grand romantic gestures. 

By rising sign, you can expect this theatrical experience:

• Aries Rising: Expect a surge in creativity, enjoyment in leisure activities, and possibly romantic adventures. This is a great time to express your unique self and have fun.
• Taurus Rising: This transit could bring a period of harmony and joy at home. You might find yourself wanting to beautify your living space or host social gatherings at your home. Relationships with family members may improve.
• Gemini Rising: Venus in Leo here could bring harmonious interactions with siblings, cousins, neighbors, and close friends. You might find yourself more expressive in your communications, and others may be attracted to your warmth and generosity. 
• Cancer Rising: In the second house, Venus in Leo may increase your desire for luxurious or attention-grabbing possessions. This can be a good time for financial gains, but be careful not to overspend on lavish items.
• Leo Rising: Venus transiting through your first house in Leo can bring a period of increased personal magnetism. You might feel more confident, outgoing, and attractive during this time, and others are likely to notice and appreciate your charm and vitality.
• Virgo Rising: This transit might spark a desire for solitude and introspection, as you explore your deeper values and ideals. You might find beauty and peace in quiet moments of meditation or in private creative expressions.
• Libra Rising: In the eleventh house, Venus in Leo can bring enjoyable social events, increased popularity, and harmonious interactions with friends. You might feel more generous and outgoing in group settings.
• Scorpio Rising:  Venus transiting your tenth house in Leo can bring recognition and admiration in your professional life. You might feel more creative and passionate about your career, or you might attract positive attention from authority figures.
• Sagittarius Rising: Venus in Leo here might increase your interest in philosophical or spiritual matters, or you might be attracted to foreign cultures. This can be a great time for travel, especially to places where you can express yourself freely and enjoy life's pleasures.
• Capricorn Rising: This period can bring about transformation in your values or relationships. It might also be a favorable time for financial gains through partnerships or investments, but be mindful of a tendency to desire lavish shared resources.
• Aquarius Rising: Venus in Leo here can bring a period of excitement and passion in your romantic relationships. If single, you might attract or be attracted to someone charismatic and confident. Existing relationships can experience more warmth and affection.
• Pisces Rising: This transit might bring a greater desire for self-care or beautifying your workspace. However, don't overdo it to the point of vanity. You might also find more pleasure in helping others.

All of that is the general area of focus for the next four months but for today and tomorrow (ish) Venus will be opposing Pluto - and that requires more nuance. 

While Venus facing off against Pluto is intense and dramatic, it is not indicative of the entire Venus in Leo period. 

Today, and the surrounding days, could bring about deep transformations in your relationships and values. This could mean a deepening intimacy and connection between the people/topics of your Leo and Aquarius houses.

In terms of personal values and aesthetics, you might find yourself drawn to more bold and dramatic styles or this could be a great time to experiment with new ways of expressing yourself and showcasing your uniqueness.

On the less enjoyable side of the spectrum, there could be tension, conflict, and power imbalances.  In relationships, this could show up as power struggles or people being extra emo. Pluto's influence can bring up deep-seated issues or obsessions that need to be addressed. Be mindful of tendencies towards jealousy, possessiveness, or control. When I say this, I don’t just mean in yourself. Also be aware that other people may be exhibiting these behaviors in your general direction regardless of how mindful you are being. 

Finally, the desire for recognition might clash with the need for radical change or freedom, leading to conflicts. Not everyone is going to be excited about change - and this transit could for sure bring massive change. For example, when someone breaks up with you, they may be ready to embrace it while you deeply want to hold on. On the other hand, if you’re on the leaving side of the equation, the person/job/family member you’re leaving might not be thrilled and could have a tantrum if they haven’t had an opportunity to prepare to manage their mind. 

Ultimately, the key to navigating today and tomorrow(ish) lies in balancing the energies of Venus and Pluto. It's about learning to express your love and creativity in ways that honor your need for transformation and growth. This might involve embracing change in your relationships, values, or self-expression depending on where it’s landing in your chart.

Tuesday, everyone is still in the thick of the introduction to Venus in Leo but aside from that, it’s a great day for sudden insights and practical discussions - in other words, productive.

Wednesday, Venus gets another direct hit as the Moon moves into Aquarius at 4:47 am Eastern. It might be a little more challenging today to remain objective or balanced (without effort). 

There could be a lot of drama as people swing between intense emotional displays and aloofness. 

You know I’m all about free will so let’s go back to that effort bit for just a moment. Make sure you love your reasons before you say or do something drastic.

I don’t usually talk about the Nodes in these forecasts but that’s only because I have to draw the line somewhere. BUT I’m making an exception this week. 

Today, Venus squares the North Node in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio. All of the drama, changes, tension, or whatever you want to call your eclipse experience as it related to those two houses is now going to be up again as it relates to your Leo house (as well as love, money, or the women in your life). 

This week is an excellent time to rethink what you want/value/desire in all three areas.

Friday is fantastic for imaginative thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and compassionate communication…

However, that works best when you’re at least aware of practical restrictions and limitations. Otherwise, miscommunication, confusion, and overwhelm are possible.

Sunday is another crazy busy astrological day. 

First, Pluto retrogrades back into Capricorn for the last long stretch - although there will be one last period to tie up loose ends between September and November of 2024. Pluto, a planet associated with deep transformation and rebirth, brings about changes that are often profound and total, leading us to rebuild on a foundation that feels authentic and real​​.

After his initial transit in Capricorn from 2008 to 2023, we are collectively encouraged to reflect on the transformative period that has passed. This is a time of deep introspection, necessitating a thorough review of the changes that have occurred in the Capricorn area of our lives between 2008 and 2023. 

This transit is an invitation to revisit the transformations that occurred between 2008 and 2023 in your Capricorn area of life. It's an opportunity to reassess how you’ve changed, grown, and where there is space for more evolution. 

The greatest potential of this transit lies in its capacity for promoting profound transformation and evolution. It can catalyze growth, fostering resilience and facilitating the process of letting go of what no longer serves us. 

On the other hand, it can manifest as resistance to change, power struggles, and upheaval - and Pluto's transformative energy can unearth unresolved issues or destabilize established structures. To navigate this period, it's crucial to embrace the change that Pluto brings, even when it's uncomfortable.

By rising sign, here are some questions to consider during this Plutonian review:

Immediately after arriving back in Capricorn, Pluto gets a little nudge from Mercury in Taurus. (Itsy bitsy little side note that this energy will be building all weekend)

As Mercury leaves Taurus he offers a little help to Pluto offering you an opportunity for deep reflection and transformation in your thinking and communication, but be mindful not to get caught up in power struggles or obsessive thought patterns.

I know, I know, the day hasn’t even really begun in parts of the world and then Mercury moves directly into Gemini at 6:26 am Eastern.

Mercury will be in Gemini from June 11 - 26th. Mercury is the natural ruler of Gemini, a mutable air sign that is associated with communication, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability. When Mercury is in its home sign, its intellectual and communicative abilities are at their peak.

This transit is likely to bring enhanced mental agility, quick thinking, and a natural ease in expressing thoughts and ideas. It's an excellent time for any work that requires mental flexibility, communication, gathering information, studying, writing, sharing ideas, or learning new subjects. You might find your curiosity sparked by a variety of topics, and it could be a time of interesting discussions, engaging debates, and productive negotiations.

However, it could also bring a sense of restlessness or scattered energy and make people a bit more scattered, indecisive, or superficial. There might be a tendency to multitask excessively (and unsuccessfully), become easily distracted, take on too many tasks at once, not follow through on commitments, become too intellectual or detached in communication, and be more inclined to overthinking or engaging in gossip.

So where is all of this Mercurial focus going to be? By rising sign:
