Astrology for the Week of December 6 - December 12

Monday:

Monday has a “push through and get the things done” kind of vibe. The Moon is in Capricorn which is generally productive, if not overly warm and fuzzy, and it’s getting ready to give you a little preview of the Venus retrograde frenzy that’s about to begin later in the week.

Mars sextiling Pluto is just more energy to do the things.

Tuesday:

On Tuesday, the Moon enters Aquarius early in the morning and moves all day towards Saturn which may help you maintain the motivation from Monday. 

However, Mercury squaring Neptune at 9:16 am can create confusion so if you have a meeting scheduled or are planning on doing anything that requires talking to other humans, make sure you have a plan heading into the discussion because thinking on your feet might be harder this morning. Prep with bullet lists of talking points, questions, or topics that must be covered or you might end up walking away from the conversation more confused than when you started.

By midday, the building Mars Jupiter square that doesn’t go exact until Wednesday at 12:31 am will help remind you of who you are and why you’re doing what you’re doing so that you can get back to work regardless of how the morning went.

Wednesday is another great day to get to work and start making forward momentum whether that’s work, holiday prep, or refining your plans for world domination.

Thursday is a little dreamy with the Moon moving into Pisces at 8:53 am and not making any significant aspects. This won’t be the most productive time of the week but anything you’ve already set into motion is likely to flow as smoothly as you’ve designed it to. 

Friday:

Friday is very much like Thursday. If you want a romantic evening, or you need some Netflix and chill to unwind from the week, or if you want to get your spiritual fix with meditation or some divinatory action, the Moon conjunct Neptune at 9:50 pm is going to offer a dreamy quality that would be great for all of those activities. It could also lead to overindulging in drugs and alcohol so if that sounds like something you’d rather avoid, you’ve been warned.  If you want to close a business deal or do something that requires a lot of aggressive energy, not so much.

Alright. Now it’s time for Saturday. Everything I’m about to say actually applies to the whole week but the energy will become most intense and unavoidable on Saturday.

The main event is the first of three times Venus will join Pluto. In all fairness, she’s essentially conjunct Pluto for all of December but it’s going to be exact and most powerful at three different times over the next couple of months. This first hit will help you get clear on what the Venus retrograde is probably going to be about (if you don’t already know).

I’ll give you a hint, it’s probably some version of love and/or money. 

The love side of things isn’t romance and fairytales. They’re dark and intense and transformative but they aren’t fun and easy.

This transit, and to a greater extent the entire retrograde of Venus, might look like reevaluating the way you think about a current or past relationship or what you want out of relationships at all. Not just romantic relationships, although that is extremely common during Venus retrogrades regardless of placement. But even your family relationships, your relationship to wealth, relationships with friends, your relationship with coworkers, employees, neighbors, and the people at the local cafe.

It can also turn up your need for deep soul-level connections and make it clear where that need isn’t being fulfilled. That could lead to making a phenomenal connection or it could turn you (or someone else) into a jealous nut job or stalker. It can also be some power plays when it comes to love and sex so be mindful of what the word no means and that it doesn’t mean maybe or try harder to convince whomever. 

It might also mean delayed gratification in the realm of love or money because it is happening in Capricorn. 

The money side of things could be the start of you uncovering ways to create, find, or attract wealth at a whole other level than what you’re accustomed to. It could also be you blowing silly amounts of money. Be mindful of your interactions with money and how you value it and yourself. 

The thing about this transit is its sort of the finale of all of the things you’ve been going through since Covid turned the world upside down almost two years ago. I doubt your life looks like it did then or that the future you want now was one you’d have imagined back then. That’s because the first part of 2020 was filled with very nearly every planet in Capricorn - for much of the year, there were 4-5 of them hanging out. I’ve heard it called the Covid clump and the Capricorn Mafia by various astrologers and the thing is, it was fundamentally restructuring some area of your life. 

This Venus conjunction to Pluto followed by a retrograde that begins next weekend is an invitation to begin to really process what those changes mean and how you want to move forward into 2022 and beyond. What lessons you really learned and if you’re ready to fly. Venus turns retrograde next week and I’ll talk more about the area of life that is up for review for you but be aware that it’ll also ripple out to where Venus is in your chart and the houses she rules. 

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to simply think about what you’ve gone through since January of 2020, how you’ve changed, and what you want moving forward. 

Don’t accept any of those stalker missions ;) 

And if you’re not sure what area of life was being viciously reformatted I’ll go over house placements next week. 

But you might feel a little like Alice in Wonderland tonight and tomorrow morning as you go about the process of beginning to reflect because of the Sun square to Neptune which tends to cause confusion even for the most level-headed. So just remember, this isn’t an overnight mission. I just want you to start thinking about it now. You’ll have till March to sort it all out.

Sunday is a good day to recover and process and prep for next week because next week everything is about to change. Mars goes into Sagittarius, Mercury moves into Capricorn, there’s a Full Moon, and Venus stops and heads into the underworld.
