Astrology for the Week of November 15-21
Before we get started, I want to mention that all times I’m going to discuss are in the central time zone. If you want to see the aspects discussed in the forecast on your digital calendar in your time zone, you can get that here.
Monday:
- β½ at 07° 54‘ Aries β³ β at 07° 54‘ Aquarius | 12:59 am
- β½ at 08° 59‘ Aries β‘ βοΈ at 08° 59‘ Capricorn | 3:06 am
- β at 23° 40‘ Scorpio β‘ β at 23° 40‘ Aquarius | 1:58 pm
We begin the week with the Sun squaring Jupiter. It’s just a lovely little feel-good vibe that began becoming more prominent over the past weekend. It’s not life-altering (unless you’re in a Jupiter profection year, in which case congratulations!) But it is *nice*. And to be completely honest, between last week’s Mars/Saturn extravaganza and the upcoming lunar eclipse - nice sounds pretty fanfreakingtastic.
Tuesday:
- β½ at 23° 44‘ Aries β³ β at 23° 44‘ Aquarius | 7:55 am
- β½ at 24° 43‘ Aries β‘ β at 24° 43‘ Capricorn | 9:50 am
- β at 24° 43‘ Scorpio β³ β at 24° 43‘ Capricorn | 3:01 pm
- β½ β» Taurus | 8:18 pm
There are two interesting things about Tuesday. The first is the nearly 12-hour void Moon. This could look like delays or people leaving you alone to get work done. The second is the Sun sextile to Pluto. It’s an easy aspect which means the planets are getting along. It’s a good day to get intimate with someone else or your own thoughts.
Wednesday:
- βοΈ at 12° 15‘ Scorpio β β at 12° 15‘ Taurus | 11:22 am
- β½ at 08° 02‘ Taurus β‘ β at 08° 02‘ Aquarius | 12:19 pm
- β½ at 11° 12‘ Taurus β³ βοΈ at 11° 12‘ Capricorn | 6:38 pm
- β½ β β at 12° 14‘ Taurus | 8:44 pm
- β½ at 12° 32‘ Taurus β βοΈ at 12° 32‘ Scorpio | 9:20 pm
Wednesday is another chapter in the fixed sign story. If you have significant placements in Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius, or Leo - last week and this week will probably hit a little harder than for some of the other less fixed signs of the zodiac. Significant placements mean a lot of planets or those signs on angles ( the first, fourth, seventh, and tenth houses).
Mars opposes Uranus today which indicates an explosive desire to be impulsive or unexpected breakthroughs that are the result of innovative actions. Or it means you unexpectedly lose your temper. Try to channel all of that energy into solving a problem and remember to count to one hundred before saying or doing something you might regret.
Thursday:
- βΏ at 20° 26‘ Scorpio β³ β at 20° 26‘ Pisces | 9:37 am
- β½ at 20° 26‘ Taurus β³ β at 20° 26‘ Pisces | 1:13 pm
- β½ at 20° 43‘ Taurus β βΏ at 20° 43‘ Scorpio | 1:47 pm
- β½ at 23° 59‘ Taurus β‘ β at 23° 59‘ Aquarius | 8:22 pm
- β½ at 24° 46‘ Taurus β³ β at 24° 46‘ Capricorn | 9:57 pm
Thursdays have been having a run of good luck lately and this week is no exception. The Moon is in Taurus and making nice squishy aspects to Neptune, Jupiter, and Pluto. And Mercury is trine to Neptune which makes me hear lyrics from The Truth About Love, from P!nk:
It's wings, and songs
And trees, and birds
It's all the poetry that you ever heard
That song is the Mercury in Scorpio trine Neptune in Pisces vibe.
Friday:
- βοΈ at 12° 12‘ Capricorn β³ β at ° ‘ β³ Taurus | 12:07 am
- π Lunar Eclipse π Taurus π Full Moon | 2:57 am
- β½ at 27° 14‘ Taurus β at 27° 14‘ Scorpio
- β½ β» Gemini | 8:33 am
Friday is the main astrological event for the week, the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus. This is the first in a new series of eclipses. For the past year and a half eclipses have been shining a spotlight on the area of your chart that is home to Gemini and Sagittarius (and in two weeks there will be a final one there to wrap it up).
Think of this as a preview for the next year and a half. But it should be a mild preview with Venus trine Uranus just hours before.
I will never ever ever recommend magical practices on a lunar eclipse - there’s a reason king’s used to hide but I will say that as with any full moon, this is likely to be a time where something in your Taurus house is illuminated or there is an ending of some sort. Don’t forget, endings aren’t objectively good or bad, they're just transitions into a new way of being. If you know what house Taurus is in, think about what you’re ready to transition away from and what that might look like over the next year and a half as the eclipses place extra emphasis in this area.
Saturday:
- β½ at 08° 12‘ Gemini β³ β at 08° 12‘ Aquarius | 1:12 am
- βΏ at 24° 11‘ Scorpio β‘ β at 24° 11‘ Aquarius | 5:42 pm
Saturday Mercury in Scorpio squares Jupiter in Aquarius. This could look like pushing yourself to think in new ways, processing new information, or generally expanding your mental horizons. Just remember that thinking something doesn’t make it true and you’ll need to follow through with actions to turn those big ideas into reality. This theme is reinforced with the building sextile between Mercury and Pluto which goes exact early Sunday morning.
Sunday:
- β½ at 20° 25‘ Gemini β‘ β at 20° 25‘ Pisces | 2:05 am
- βΏ at 24° 48‘ Scorpio β³ β at 24° 48‘ Capricorn | 3:13 am
- β½ at 24° 15‘ Gemini β³ β at 24° 15‘ Aquarius | 9:51 am
- β β» Sagittarius | 8:33 pm
- β½ β» Cancer 9:33 pm
The big news on Sunday is the Sun moving into Sagittarius. For those of you who have felt like the last four weeks have been a shade too intense, this will come as a welcome relief. It’s time to think adventure, exploration, expansion, and optimism. Not a bad way to end the week, right?
