Astrology for the Week of October 25 - October 31

This is a relatively quiet week building up to a massive weekend shift. I don’t know about you, but after the intensity of last week, I’m looking forward to things being a little less chaotic.

The big news for the week involves Venus and Mars. 

Monday:

Monday morning starts off nicely enough with the Moon in Gemini clear and focused before going void at around 9 am and staying that way until 4 pm. All this means is that people will probably leave you alone and you’ll be able to do whatever it is you want to be doing in peace.

This really is one of the most mellow and productive days of the week. Hit the to-do list hard so you have more wiggle room if you want to play with Venus and Mars things later in the week.

Tuesday is where we really start feeling the Venus vibes strongly as she closes in on a square to Neptune which will be exact at 8:06 pm.

The thing about Venus and Neptune together is that they’re really good at creating unrealistic expectations and confusion. Of course, if I’m being honest, romance is filled with unrealistic expectations and confusion so this is also a day with very romantic vibes.

That being said, my advice is -  don’t break up or propose suddenly just because you suddenly feel *very* strongly that it’s the right thing to do. If that’s been the plan all along then go with it but be suspicious of any strong emotionally charged romantic inclinations today.

It’s a good day to daydream and live in fantasyland. Let your imagination go wild and outline exactly what you’d love for your love life to look like. What you want in a partner. How you want to show up as a partner. Then get to work on showing up for yourself that way so you learn how to receive it and are available when someone else wants to give it to you.

Or if you’re in a partnership, full-on romantic stereotypical Valentine’s Day actions and activities could be spectacular today.

Wednesday:

Wednesday is like Tuesday 2.0 with slightly more emotional tension. Whether that’s internal or external, pay attention because the Moon opposing Pluto often shows us where we are not living in alignment. Think about what’s pushing your buttons. What are you making it mean that he didn’t text you back for hours or she didn’t remember you don’t like that brand of ketchup. Remember, the things that are upsetting you about someone else are always about your thoughts, not their actions. Today is a good day to dive into that.

On Thursday we come to the candy-coated aspect of the week, Venus sextile Jupiter. The two benefics (which just means beneficial or helper planets) are enjoying themselves immensely. 

What gives you pleasure and makes you feel celebratory? What do you most desire? Get clear on it and take action towards it. 

This is Venus shining a spotlight on and supporting what Jupiter has had you focused on for most of the year. In case you’ve forgotten:

• Aries Rising:
• Dreaming and establishing action plans for long term hopes and wishes or growing the networks that support you; Venus is helping out with big picture insights

• Taurus Rising:
• Increasing your public image, reputation, career, or your big picture life’s mission; Venus is encouraging you to look at how other people’s money, debt, and death factor into your decisions 

• Gemini Rising:
• A quest for higher education, philosophy, astrology, or religion; Venus is making it more personal, maybe a conversation with a partner about your plans?

• Cancer Rising:
• Exploring your relationship with death, taxes, other people’s money, loans, and your mental health; Venus might be asking how your obligations are or can be supporting these relationships

• Leo Rising:
• How you define and engage with your 1-1 relationships whether they’re romantic or business-related and open enemies; Venus enters the mix in your house of desire and creativity urging you to use those both to support your relationship goals

• Virgo Rising:
• Expanding your obligations, the number of people who work for you, and your responsibilities at work; Venus is in your home and family sector where you might be able to look for a respite this week from the daily grind

• Libra Rising:
• An exploration of your deepest desires, relationship with children, and how you engage with lovers, romance, sex; this is an opportunity to see how your daily routine can support the facets of your life you’ve been exploring in more depth this year 

• Scorpio Rising
• How you interact with your ancestors, family you came from, homeland; Venus may give you an opportunity to offer financial support to these topics this week

• Sagittarius Rising:
• Learning to facilitate more open and honest communication, greater interactions with siblings and/or neighbors, and optimizing the structure of your daily routines; Venus is going to be giving you a boost in charisma to help increase your efficacy in these areas

• Capricorn Rising:
• Learning how you increase the things in your life that you value such as how you earn money or how you value yourself; Venus is giving you the opportunity to take a deeper psychological look at how you may be undermining yourself in these areas 

• Aquarius Rising:
• You’re expanding into who you want to become and probably redefining who that is and who it will be for the next 12 years; Venus may be showcasing how your friends, social, and professional networks can support you on this new journey

• Pisces Rising:
• How you explore your inner world through seclusion and time alone or how you expand with shadow work; Venus is giving you a chance to look at how this process could be benefiting your career and public image

Friday:

Friday looks quiet on the surface but the Sun will square Saturn Saturday morning at 4:53 and you’ll start feeling that energy today. This is also a preview of what a LOT of November is going to be - planets hitting the brick wall that is Saturn.

Saturn is currently in the same house for you that Jupiter is in, which is why for much of the year you may have had big picture ideas that felt road blocked. The Venus Jupiter aspect we just discussed gave you a little push forward but today and tomorrow might feel more like another speed bump - or detour depending on your chart and what’s activated.

Back to what the Sun and Saturn are up to - you’ll be feeling that push back most strongly on Friday and Saturday. The more honest you are with yourself about the truth of whatever situation this is showing up for you as, the less frustrating this is likely to feel.

Saturday is the day that Mars moves into Scorpio and I am SO ready for it. This is my favorite Mars placement. It’s the sexier, yummier, more sensual side of Mars and I’m looking forward to it. Of course, I’m a Mars girl and a Scorpio so I’m a little biased but that doesn’t mean I’m wrong ;)

Sure, Mars is going to be stirring up trouble for much of November but he’s also going to be bringing the hot steamy deliciousness that just sounds like fun to me. If you like a little less intensity and passion in your life, however, you might want to buckle up.

Sunday looks like a mostly quiet integration day where you have an opportunity to lean into how Mars in Scorpio is going to feel to you before jumping into the next week. It’s not the most exciting Halloween ever, but it is a great day to settle into the less secular meaning of the holiday. 

Connect with whatever you’re in partnership with and look beyond yourself during this thinning of the veil between what we perceive as physical reality and that part of our reality we don’t see as easily. It’s a lovely night for divination, magical ritual, meditation, prayer, and tapping into the part of you that already knows exactly what the future holds or at the very least what you want it to hold.

For me, this is the start of a turning inward that culminates with the solstice in December. The portal is open and on the other side is the future I’ll pursue throughout 2022 until the veil thins and the doors are thrown open again.
